MHRA Research Associateship and AHRC workshop funding

We are delighted to announce that the Modern Humanities Research Association has awarded the Hakluyt Project a Research Associateship for 2013-14. We will shortly be advertising a 0.5 one-year appointment and are hoping to recruit a candidate with expertise in editing Latin material. This is the second RA position awarded by the MHRA to the project in recent years, following the appointment of Colm MacCrossan in 2009-10. In addition, the Arts and Humanities Research Council has awarded the Hakluyt Project funding for a Research Network, which will enable us to online casino hold a series of Editorial Workshops for the editorial team of Volumes 1-4. These Editorial Workshops will be held in Southampton over the next two years, and we very much hope that they will provide the model for similar events in due course for editors working on later volumes in the edition.
